Drew Ayres
Drew graduated from Purdue’s Engineering and Technology
program in 2013. He taught PLTW classes
and traditional shop classes at North Montgomery High School in Crawfordsville,
IN for the 2013/14 school year. He will
now be attending Purdue’s Graduate School in Curriculum and Instruction School
of Science Education.

Joseph Birrenkott
Joe received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of North Dakota. He has since attended Purdue University to work on a master’s degree in education. He grew up on a farmstead in rural North Dakota – graduating with a class of 59 students. He is looking forward to a career as a high school chemistry teacher somewhere in rural Indiana.

Ben Cox
Ben is a 2005 graduate of Manchester University. As of publication, he has been teaching Chemistry 1, Chemistry 2, and AP Physics for nine years at Eastern High School in Greentown, IN. He has also sponsored science fair projects for nine years.

Sean McPherson
Upon graduation from Notre Dame in 2013, Sean decided to use his science background to teach. He received a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship and is working towards an M.S. in Education as he completes the STEM Goes Rural Program at Purdue. Next fall he will be teaching Chemistry, Physics, and 8th Grade Science at Triton High School located in Bourbon, Indiana.
